I. EXECUTIVE TEAM

 

HAERAN FISSEHA

FOUNDER, CHAIR PERSON   

Haeran is an Operations professional with over 20 years of experience managing global supply chain projects as well as new product launch at Fortune 500 companies including Oracle, Apple, and General Motors. She has hands-on Operations experience managing strategic suppliers in Asia, as well as program managing complex new product launches in the consumer industry. Haeran is dedicated to uplifting the most negelected communities in Ethiopia. She has been leading Dir Biyabir since it's founding, with the exception of the years 2017-2019.

Haeran holds an MS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University.

 

EMINET AYELE

SECRETARY  

Eminet is a software applications architect supporting enterprise level tools that facilitate team collaborations. She holds a Bachelors in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Colorado State University.

 

CHARLIE COLOSKY

TREASURER

Charlie has extensive experience as an operations consultant for companies like Apple and other US manufacturers. He joined Dir Biyabir after retiring from a 14 year career at the Cleveland Clinic, in Medical Operations and Information Technology.  He has a degree in engineering from Purdue University.

 

 

 

II. BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 

Sam Smith

Sam is an accomplished Operations professional with extensive experience spanning more than 20 years across Manufacturing, Finance and the Service industry. His career includes a 19-year tenure at Apple and 6 years at numerous industrial companies. Sam has been actively involved in non-profit work, serving as a board director and past President for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Sierra. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Cal State University, East Bay.
